World Mental Health Day 2025: Reflections

On October 10th, many people took a moment to think about mental health as they marked World Mental Health Day.

This year’s theme, set by the World Federation for Mental Health was access to services in the context of catastrophes and emergencies. In an increasingly chaotic and hostile world with increasingly strained finances in the mental health sector, this theme is timely and necessary.

Now, more than ever, it’s crucial to harness the skills and assets in our local communities to improve mental health. Although World Mental Health Day is over, mental health doesn't take a day off. It's important to support yourself and promote positive mental health habits every day. World Mental Health Day is just the start.
