Enter & View Report: Activities and Spiritual Needs at Alexander Court Care Home
The care centre, which supports up to 82 residents, including those with dementia and other complex needs, offers a broad range of leisure and spiritual activities. Feedback from four residents and family members indicated general satisfaction with the frequency and variety of activities, with social engagement and creativity being especially appreciated. Residents noted that these activities helped them feel relaxed, connected, and supported in their beliefs.
Staff described structured activity planning, family involvement, and personalised approaches to engage all residents, including those less mobile. Recommendations included displaying activity timetables more visibly, continuing co-planning with residents, and promoting social connectivity. The care home’s management responded positively, committing to act on all suggestions.
