New Report Published: Barking Urgent Treatment Centre Enter and View Report
The report explores patients' experiences of accessing urgent care services, focusing on arrival, waiting times, communication, the care environment, and clinical interactions. Feedback gathered during the visit highlighted many positive aspects of the service, including compassionate and respectful staff, strong clinical care, accessible facilities, and a clean environment.
The report also identifies opportunities for improvement, particularly around communication about waiting times, patient flow, reception consistency, privacy, and waiting area comfort.
As part of the Enter and View process, Healthwatch Barking and Dagenham has made a series of recommendations to support service improvement. The service provider, PELC, has responded positively to the findings and outlined actions it will take to address the recommendations.
We would like to thank all patients, carers, staff, and service representatives who contributed to this visit and helped share their experiences.
